Yury A. Budkov obtained his PhD in Physical Chemistry in 2013 from G.A. Krestov Institute of Solution Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ISC RAS) in 2013. After that, he has been visiting the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences, Germany. In 2015 he obtained a position of a Senior Lecturer at the School of Applied Mathematics of the HSE University, and in 2017 he has been promoted to an associate professor level. In 2019 Yury got his D.Sci. (Habilitation) degree in Physics and Mathematics and becomes a full professor of the HSE. In the same year he also got a position of the Head of Laboratory at the ISC RAS. In 2024 he joined the Laboratory of Physical Chemistry of Modified Surfaces (the Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry RAS) as a Leading Research Fellow
