Yaroslav V. Kudryavtsev has obtained his M. Sc. Diploma in Physics in 1994 from the Department of Physics of the M.V.Lomonosov Moscow State University. He then joined the group of Professor Arkadiy D. Litmanovich at the Laboratory for Polymer Modification, A.V.Topchiev Institute of Petrochemical Synthesis (Russian Academy of Sciences). In 1997 Yaroslav has obtained his Ph.D. from the M.V.Lomonosov Moscow State University and got a research position at the A.V.Topchiev Institute. In 2005 he has obtained his D.Sc. (Habilitation) in Physics and Mathematics at the N.N.Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics. Two years later he became the head of the Laboratory for Polymer Modification, previously directed by Professor Nikolai A. Plate. Since 2007 Yaroslav is a Deputy Editor-in- Chief of Polymer Science, Series A, B, C journal. In 2016 he has received the title of Professor of RAS and joined the Laboratory of Physical Chemistry of Modified Surfaces, part of A.N.Frumkin Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry (Russian Academy of Sciences) as a leading research fellow. Yaroslav's scientific interests are mostly focused on studying macromolecular reactions as a route to controlled polymer synthesis. He has published more than 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
