Alexander S. Potapov studied
physics and
nanotechnology at M.V.Lomonosov
Moscow State University. In 2010, he joined our group to work on his
Diploma project, in which he has modelled the electro-osmosis of thin
wetting films. In particular, he applied Dissipative Particle
Dynamics simulations to test electro-hydrodynamic boundary conditions
at charged liquid-gas interfaces and predictions of a mean-field theory
developed in our group. The simulations were performed using the package
ESPResSo. Alexander obtained his Diploma
in 2012. The same year he became a PhD student and was appointed as a junior
research fellow.
